Awards…..
Delegates should participate in MUN because they care about improving society through collaboratively working with other delegates to discuss global issues, not for accolades.
Awards are given to delegates whom the committee chairs perceive to have exemplified outstanding leadership qualities during committee. They will be announced during the closing ceremony.
Best Delegate
The Best Delegate Award is given to 1-2 delegates per committee who, by the chair’s discretion, displayed the key factors of leadership, participation, preparation, and dedication throughout the entire committee session. The Best Delegate winners will receive a certificate during the closing ceremony.
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mentions are given to 2-4 delegates the chair believes deserve recognition for their hard work and participation during a conference. Honorable Mention winners will be awarded a certificate during the closing ceremony.
Outstanding Delegate
The Outstanding Delegate Award is given to 2-3 delegates who performed well in debate and thoroughly knew their topic. Outstanding Delegate winners will receive a certificate during the closing ceremony.
The Research Award
The Research Award is given to 2-4 delegates (depending on the committee size) who have written a position paper that goes above and beyond the basic research criteria and thoroughly presents a country’s position and solutions on the topic. Research Award delegates will receive acknowledgement and a certificate during the closing ceremony.
