Our campus conference,
Why BridgesMUN?
Model UN serves as an opportunity to collaborate with new people or delegates while formulating powerful solutions to real-world dilemmas. BridgesMUN is a unifying conference that offers an incredible experience. From cultivating the skills of new delegates to offering advanced committees for more experienced delegates, BridgesMUN focuses on many different ages and MUN levels.
The name of “BridgesMUN” was inspired by Ruby Bridges, an African American civil rights activist who, at the age of six, became the first African American child to desegregate an all-white elementary school. Her incredible legacy and extraordinary bravery remain within our hearts to this day. Additionally, we believe that, through Model UN, students of all ethnicities, backgrounds, and origins can unify to bring change to the world, functioning much like a bridge for other people and ideas.
What is Model UN?
Model UN is a simulation of the real United Nations for students. Students, or as we call delegates, have the opportunity to build their speaking, writing, debating, and researching skills by representing different nations to tackle world issues.
Our Goals…
Bridges MUN strives to provide a life-changing experience for those interested in pursuing MUN in the future. As young delegates ourselves, we understand that conferences can be intimidating and unfamiliar to untrained participants. Therefore, with this smaller conference, we hope to aid students in overcoming their fears of public speaking and exhibiting their best selves during this and future conferences. The flexibility of BridgesMUN also creates a positive atmosphere for more advanced delegates to practice and hone their skills.
The Secretariat is delighted and honored to welcome you to BridgesMUN 2025!
Bridges MUN is an opportunity for our delegates to experience the lessons, challenges, and rewards of leadership. The Bridges MUN Secretariat designs, coordinates, and runs a campus conference at the end of each school year.
